Italian outfitters Alpinestars just made your next Ducati ride a whole lot safer. The designer’s Tech-Air line of leather motorcycle jackets includes a self-contained airbag system inside it. Through a software algorithm and series of sensors, the jacket predicts an impact, self-deploying its own airbag before the rider even knows what hit him. The first of its kind, the Tech-Air jacket retails for about $1,000. Take a look at the jacket below, and watch a crash test involving the Alpinestars Tech-Air at the bottom.
