Had the brains behind the James Bond movie franchise not chosen the Aston Martin as their go-to gadget car, this one could’ve easily fit the bill. Back in 1924, Rolls-Royce fitted its Silver Ghost model with a hidden compartment in the running board containing a Tommy Gun. According to the car’s owner—who had the gun deactivated—wealthy drivers used to carry around large amounts of money at the time, so of course, they needed protection. The five-passenger auto is worth about $434,000.
