Tailor Swift

You can never be truly well-dressed unless your clothing is tailored.

This is a fact. As cold and hard as a hooker’s heart.

Just as hard: finding the time to go to the tailor.

Enter Haberdash, an on-demand tailoring gateway from the guys behind suiting startup Combat Gent.

Haberdash is basically Uber for tailoring. Fire up the app, answer a few questions (Quick alterations or fully bespoke suit?) and Haberdash matches you with the right tailor for the job.

When it works for you. Where it works for you.

Minor jobs can be handled on the spot. Otherwise they’ll take measurements, do the work and swing it back by.

Once again, on your schedule.

Also like Uber, the service acts as your middleman, vetting a growing fleet of independent professionals (many with decades in the game), providing estimates and processing final payments.

Haberdash is in closed beta at the moment, with the iPhone app dropping next month, but they’ve opened up the rolls for a handful of the city’s InsideHook readers to give the service a spin in advance.

It’s a stitch in time worth making.
