This punk rock supergroup has the band name to end all band names.

The perfectly monikered Armstrongs—featuring lead singer/songwriter Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, lead singer/songwriter Tim Armstrong from Rancid, Joey Armstrong from SWMRS (a.k.a. Billie Joe’s son), and Rey Armstrong—has released a politically charged debut anthem, “If There Was Ever a Time.”

Fans first caught the supergroup’s track in Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk, a documentary about the rise of the punk scene in California’s Bay Area. Narrated by Iggy Pop, the doc covers a number of the epicenters of the Northern California punk scene, including 924 Gilman, a DIY, nonprofit music venue in Berkeley, where bands like Green Day, Rancid, and Operation Ivy (Tim Armstrong’s earlier band) played gigs.

The band has released the single via Hellcat Records, with 100 percent of the proceeds from single sales going to 924 Gilman.
