I know what you’ve been thinking: “I really need to step up my couples fitness Instagram game. My girlfriend/wife/ladyfriend and I know how to do all the cool workout poses, and we’ve got insane core strength and are both conventionally attractive. All we’re missing is some sweet matching workout outfits.”
No? Not what you’re thinking? You’re telling me you have no interest in doing whatever the hell this is? Well fine. But that doesn’t mean you and your #gymbae can’t both look and feel good while you’re sweating it out together (or apart, you’re probably working out alone like a normal person).
What I’m trying to get at here is that one of our fave athleisure brands has just released a limited-edition capsule collection for the ladies. Rhone, as you probably already know, is famous for spending a pretty penny on fabrics. And now we lady folk get to experience it for ourselves.
The collection is inspired by the “creativity, tenacity, and leadership” of the brand’s own female employees, and encompasses four pieces: a tank, leggings, hoodie and sweatpants, each in two different design options. I personally tested out the collection during a brutal spin class this past weekend.
Some more info regarding each piece is detailed below, but if you’re looking to gift your gal a crazy nice piece of workout gear I would recommend you do it and do it soon because the capsule is selling fast and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.
Revel Tank
Literally the softest workout tank I now own. Super lightweight with a mesh racerback, it’s simple but it performs great. And I seriously cannot stress how soft this fabric is.
Women’s Re:Structure High-Waisted 7/8 Legging
These high-waist 7/8 leggings are made from recycled nylon fabric and feature anti-odor technology, some perforated knee panels to keep things breezy, and a back waistband pocket to secure her phone.
Women’s Sublime Cropped Hoodie
A super-soft cropped hoodie constructed from double-knit fabric and two-stretch material and my favorite piece from the capsule.
Women’s Sublime Jogger
These joggers are also made from double-knit and two-stretch fabric and include lots of zippered pockets to hold her various items. Pairs well obviously with the cropped hoodie above, but also great over the high-waisted leggings — especially if she’s walking 20 minutes in the cold to get to her spin class.
