Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens has confirmed that he had an extramarital affair, an admission that was prompted by a News 4 investigation. A woman alleges that he tried to blackmail her to keep the encounter quiet. News 4 obtained a recording from the woman’s ex-husband, who says it was made after Greitens’ and the woman’s first sexual encounter. The woman’s ex-husband says the relationship took place between his now ex-wife and Greitens in March 2015, and that the governor has a naked picture of the woman and used it as blackmail. Greitens has billed himself as a family man both during his campaign and while serving his first year in office.
