Bad to the Drone

By now, you own some art.

Which means you appreciate culture beyond TV and movies.

Unless you like artwork about TV and movies. In which case, you’re really going to appreciate this:

The Official Bad Robot Art Experience, a time-traveling island’s worth of J.J. Abrams fanboy art, opening tomorrow night at Gallery 1988 West.

Abrams, a fan of the gallery, gave his blessing to the exhibit, which features over one hundred artists paying homage to films and shows that carry the Bad Robot label.

So expect art featuring LOST, Fringe, Alias, Person of Interest, Cloverfield, Star Trek, Super 8 and more.

You’ll even get a little sculpture. Namely, the Statue of Liberty’s disembodied head.

Check out the full gallery of work right here.

Nota bene: Ten percent of the proceeds benefit Abrams’s favorite nonprofit,The Mission Continues, which empowers veterans through community service.
