Instead of Buying Another Drink, Buy Shares In This Iconic Cocktail Bar

At NYC's Death and Co, crowdfunding and high-end drinks mix

If you’re gonna spend all your money on alcohol, might as well get a return.

Death & Co, the New York bar that’s been at the fore of the cocktail renaissance since its founding in 2006, is currently raising funds through equity crowdfunding platform SeedInvest to “create unique cocktail experiences across the U.S.”

For a minimum of $1,000, you can get a small stake in the parent company Gin & Luck, which is currently valued at $13 million. You won’t be able to sell this equity stake like a stock, but if the cocktail business keeps booming, you might get a handsome payout when the company goes public or sells.

Some company highlights: The NYC bar made $1.87 million in net revenue in 2017. Their cocktail book shipped 120,000 copies. They have a burgeoning consulting arm and a new Denver location.

Coming up? A new cocktail den in Los Angeles, plus leased spaces in other cities (operated by D&C), management deals, an alignment with The Ramble Hotel and assorted licensing, management and retail opportunities.

Bottom(line)’s up.
