Update: TMZ now reports that judges in two separate Los Angeles County Courthouses denied the request for the restraining order. “The allegations made by Ms. Dalle against Mr. Homme are categorically false. In order to protect the children, we will not be making any further statements,” Homme’s lawyer Susan Wiesner said.

According to a new report by TMZ, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme is now facing domestic violence restraining orders that were filed by his ex-wife on behalf of their children, who claim that he is physically and emotionally abusive towards them and has driven drunk with them in the car.

Brody Dalle, Homme’s ex-wife, filed the documents on behalf of their two sons, 10-year-old Orrin and five-year-old Wolf. They are seeking 100 yards of separation between Homme and themselves (as well as the family dog). A court hearing about the requests for the restraining orders is scheduled for Sept. 13.

In the documents, Orrin claimed there was a recent incident in which his father grabbed his “private parts,” and he also alleges regular physical abuse “such as flicking his ears, hitting his head, poking his chest and throwing things at him — while calling him fat and allegedly making threats about murdering Brody’s boyfriend.” Wolf, meanwhile, claims that Homme drinks and drives and “grabs their necks and ears.”

“Ms. Dalle has previously brought these claims to the police, [Department of Child and Family Services], and the presiding judge of the family law court, all of whom have declined to take any action based upon these spurious claims,” Homme’s attorney Susan Wiesner said in a statement to TMZ.

This isn’t the first allegation of violence against Josh Homme. He and Dalle — who filed for divorce in 2019 — have both filed restraining orders against each other in the past, with Dalle claiming he showed up to her house drunk and head-butted her. In 2017, Homme deliberately kicked a female photographer’s camera into her face during a Queens of the Stone Age show, leaving her with a bruised eyebrow and a sore neck.

“I don’t have any excuse or reason to justify what I did,” Homme said in an apology video posted to the Queens of the Stone Age social media accounts at the time. ” I’m truly sorry and I hope you’re okay. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and last night was definitely one of them, and I apologize for that to you. I want to be a good man but I think last night I definitely failed at that.”
