Arby's is Selling a $6, One-Day Hawaiian Getaway

Thanks to a new Arby’s promotion, you could win a Hawaiian getaway… Sort of (and probably not).

To promote their new sandwich line featuring the brand’s signature stacks of meat now piled on King’s Hawaiian Rolls, the sandwich chain is launching Arby’s $6 Hawaiian Getaway, reported Today Food.

While the too-good-to-be-true promotion is in fact happening, it does come with a catch or two. Number one, you can’t “win” this getaway, you have to buy it (for the low price of $6). Ten tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 12, at 12 p.m. ET, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

More significantly, the “Hawaiian getaway” is a day trip. Ticket holders will spend less than 24 hours enjoying sandwiches in paradise.

“Taking the expected Hawaii getaway and turning it into an action-packed and sandwich-filled day trip felt both unique to Arby’s but also the signature brand of fun our fans around the country enjoy,” Arby’s CMO, Jim Taylor, told Today Food.

Ticket holders will fly to Hawaii on April 27, board a bus full of Arby’s sandwiches, eat said sandwiches on the beach, then fly home the same day. The whole thing sounds exhausting and I would readily pay $6 to not do it, but apparently I just don’t get Arby’s “signature brand of fun.”

By the way, the $6 price tag reflects the price of the sandwiches in the new line. While $6 may be a bargain when it comes to a plane ticket to Hawaii, it seems a little steep for a fast-food sandwich, right?

Regardless, tickets will likely sell out quickly, based on the success of similar chain restaurant promotions, so if you’re an adventurous Arby’s fan, make sure you have wifi access at noon on Friday.
