According to Deadline, Timothée Chalamet is set to play Bob Dylan during the period in which legendary musician went electric, much to the chagrin of his acoustic folk-loving fans at the time, in a new movie for Searchlight Pictures.

Dylan is reportedly “actively” involved with the film, and while it remains untitled, it is tentatively being referred to as Going Electric. It’s expected that Chalamet will start shooting the movie after he finishes his work on a London stage production of 4,000 Miles on May 23.

There’s no word on whether or not the actor will sing Dylan’s songs, but Deadline reports that he’s already taking guitar lessons for the role.

The film will be produced by Dylan’s longtime manager Jeff Rosen, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen, Fred Berger, Alex Heineman and James Mangold. Dylan will serve as executive producer, along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Andrew Rona. The studio has reportedly secured the rights to Dylan’s music as well as the book Dylan Goes Electric by Elijah Wald. There’s no word on who will play the guy that yelled “Judas” at Dylan at a concert.

Aside from the Dylan project, Chalamet will next star in the sci-fi adaptation Dune (out Dec. 18) and Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch.
