Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy Announce Joint “Hella Mega” Tour

In extremely great news for a very specific demographic of people in their 30s and early-40s, Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy have joined forces for a global stadium tour they’ve dubbed “The Hella Mega Tour.”

The joint tour will kick off on June 13, 2020 in Paris and wrap up on Aug. 29 that year in Philadelphia. Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. local time. You can see the full list of dates here.

To celebrate the upcoming tour, all three bands released new singles as well today, which they will be performing as part of a three-day takeover on Jimmy Kimmel this week. Green Day dropped “Father of All…” from their forthcoming album of the same name (due out Feb. 7th), while Weezer put out “The End of the Game” from their metal-inspired (yeah, metal-inspired) Van Weezer coming out in May. Fall Out Boy’s new track, “Dear Future Self (Hands Up)” features Wyclef Jean and will be included on their greatest-hits collection due out Nov. 15.

BUT OKAY. Now that all that’s out of the way, we have to talk about the truly insane tour poster that they’ve casually unleashed upon us. Feast your eyes upon this….whatever this is?

I’m no scientist, but to my untrained eye, that appears to be some sort of winged centaur with unicorn horns spewing rainbow fire and rocking out while under siege by military aircrafts. Human technology is no match for his extremely jacked half-man, half-horse (or is that one-third man, one-third bird and one-third unicorn?) body. This tattooed creature is here to lay waste to us with multi-colored flames and the “Buddy Holly” hook. Summer 2020 can’t come soon enough.
