Jazz Guitarist Ron Wright Lists Pebble Beach Mansion for $40 Million

Wright bought the oceanfront California property in the late 1990s.

You’re going to want to look at this oceanfront property in Pebble Beach, California, on the scenic 17-Mile drive, which just hit the market for $40 million. Ron Wright, a guitarist, composer and real-estate investor, and his wife bought the property in the late 1990s and gut renovated an existing property. They rebuilt it with a lot of “blood, sweat and tears,” Wright told The Wall Street Journal.

The house was completed in 2004 and is roughly 7,5000-square-feet. Inspired by French and English Tudor-style mansions, the home has rustic beamed ceilings, custom stonework, walnut and Jerusalem stone floors and original fireplaces with mantels taken from castles in France and England. It has four bedrooms. The home sits on about 2.59 acres and has both garden and ocean views. There is a gated entrance and the gate surrounds the whole property. There is a swimming pool on the property, as well as a three-car garage.

Wright, 59, previously tried to sell the property, WSJ reports, but this is the first time it has formally been listed for sale. His wife died in 2015, and Wright says he wants to move on to something different.
