Mark Halperin, who was fired by NBC in October after five women accused him of sexual misconduct while working at another network, has been seen having meetings with high profile media connections, Page Six reports. This has sparked rumors that he’s trying to make a comeback. Halperin reportedly met with Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, fellow disgraced journalist Charlie Rose, CNN pundit and #TimesUp activist Hilary Rosen and an unnamed PBS executive.
However, friends of Halperin’s say the meetings were just conversations among friends, and that he is not thinking about his career right now.
A friend told Page Six that’s Halperin has “been doing frequent volunteer work at the Fortune Society, and he’s been meeting extensively with friends, experts, and others on what he said in October he was going to do—work to make amends for his past actions.”
After the allegations surfaced, Halperin acknowledged pursuing romantic relationships with women colleagues, but continues to deny groping or touching women inappropriately.
