“Dear Benny, I dedicate the Huayra BC to you, from my heart.”

Those are the sentiments with which automaker Horacio Pagani’s anointed his newest model, a stunning redesign of the original Pagani Huayra, the 730 HP chariot that was named the Hypercar of the Year in 2012.

Benny is Benny Caiola, Pagani’s first customer and the world’s foremost collector of exotic cars prior to his death in 2010.

The 2016 Huayra BC is the newest iteration of that ride, and one that honors Caiola’s name with grace, aplomb and some serious muscle: the 2,685-pound model with 789 HP does 0-60 in three seconds flat thanks to a featherweight carbon-fiber frame and Mercedes AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine.

The BC features a benchmark-setting, seven-speed automated manual transmission, a gearbox developed and manufactured by Xtrac and P Zero Corsa tires from Pirelli. Pagani and his team worked extensively on the aerodynamic properties of the car and ended up with a model that “generates maximum downforce” while “retaining the unmistakable design language of Pagani.”

Although the 20 BC models already in production are all spoken for (for the cool price of $2.6 million), Pagani will have one of the obvious Hypercar of the Year 2016 contenders on display at the Geneva International Motor Show starting March 3rd.

It’s unclear how many, if any, more models will be made, but If you ever find yourself in the Huayra or the BC, steer clear of Uber drivers.
