Colin Kaepernick Expected to Receive Invite to Next NFL Meeting

This is according to league spokesman Joe Lockhart.

ESPN is reporting that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick will likely be invited to a meeting next Tuesday between NFL players and owners, according to league spokesman Joe Lockhart.

“We look forward to him joining the conversation,” Lockhart reportedly said on the league’s weekly conference call.

Kaepernick has alleged NFL owners of collusion against him to keep him out of a job since he began protesting social injustice in 2016 by kneeling during the national anthem at games.

ESPN notes that Kaepernick was invited to the meeting between players and owners on Oct. 17 in New York, which he did not attend. There is no word yet on whether or not he’ll be at the upcoming meeting.
