Actors Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks join forces to lead a stacked cast in The Post, Steven Spielberg’s forthcoming newspaper drama. Based on a true story, the movie follows the internal battle at the Washington Post on whether or not to publish classified military documents—known as the “Pentagon Papers”— about the Vietnam War following a cover-up that spanned four US presidencies. Streep portrays the country’s first female newspaper publisher, Katharine Graham, and in addition to Hanks, is joined onscreen by Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, and Alison Brie. Out in theaters on January 12, check out the new trailer above.
