Did V-Day stir up any feelings for you? Are you in the doghouse, on cloud nine, over the moon, underwhelmed? Any other poetic notions, perhaps? Are you lovesick?

Why don’t you write a poem about it.

If you can string a sentence together — or hell, even a vaguely grammatical fragment —  you can write a poem, and a poem is all you need to enter budget airline easyJet’s first-of-its-kind Love Sick Sonnets sick bag Poem contest.

So, amatuer poetry on a barfbag, right where it belongs, har-dee-har, we get the joke.

Inspired by an alleged wave of notes handwritten on the courtesy sacks you can find in most seat-back pockets, the contest is running through the end of the month. The grand prize is roundtrip airfare on one of their routes for you and a friend (no labels necessary), so it may be worth dredging some feelings up.

The most important rules to note (complete terms found here): To enter the promotion, the Entrant must write a poem on an easyJet sick bag, take a photo of it and upload the photo on Instagram or Twitter, using the hashtag “#LoveSickSonnets” and tagging @easyJet.

Best of luck, aspiring bards.
