IKEA’s Swedish Meatball Roadshow Is Coming to a City Near You

All the balls. None of the maddening furniture assembly.

This month, Chicago and New York’s advanced forecasts are calling for sunny skies with a chance of meatballs.

Swedish meatballs.

First and Second City denizens with a hankering for free grub — aka the entire populations of both cities — should keep their eyes peeled for a limited-time food truck that will be dispensing buffalo chicken, veggie and the design giant’s fabled Kötbullar with lingonberry sauce.

The #TogetherWeEat pop-up truck will be stopping at the Wicker Park Fest in Chicago on July 23rd and 24th and at Celebrate Brooklyn on July 30th as well as making surprise stops in both cities.

In addition to serving up the Swedish Chef’s favorite creation, the truck will also be be rolling with select IKEA furniture, home furnishings and games meant to “encourage great conversation with friends, family and other fellow eaters.”

A far cry from assembling their furniture, which is known to encourage great hostility between friends, family and other fellow builders.
