The best thing about kegs: they’re filled with beer.

The worst thing about kegs: they’re a drag to carry uphill.

The newest thing about kegs: the worst is over.

In order to combine the majesty of the great outdoors with the potency of a pair of growlers, the folks at The Tribe have created the travel-ready ManCan, a 128-ounce stainless steel keg for your hiking, camping and assorted expeditionary needs.

With enough room to keep eight pints (one gallon) of brew fresh and ready to serve for more than a month, the ManCan is powered by CO2 cartridges and features a “Perfect Pour Regulator” system that can be outfitted with a flexible hose ($195) or a pro-style tap system ($265).

The company also sells half-gallon models as well as extra CO2 canisters and cleaning tablets that eliminate that crusty tapline flavor without leaving behind a soapy aftertaste — if you’re into that sort of thing. (We are.)

Fill, pour, drink and Bob’s your uncle.
