Joseph Gordon-Levitt put his drumming skills on display with a subway platform performance at the Red Line stop at Vermont and Sunset in Los Angeles — and no one recognized him.
In the video Gordon-Levitt shared on YouTube, passersby definitely stop and take notice of the sharply dressed drummer, but he gets identified as Pee-Wee Herman, not Arthur from Inception.
The musical set was part of an initiative called “Everyday Spectacular,” a collaboration between Gordon-Levitt’s production company HitRecord and LG that calls on entertainers to put on spontaneous performances for the public and then upload the results to the web.
Many of the people who’ve contributed videos to the new project thus far are relative unknowns, as is — at least apparently in L.A. — Gordon-Levitt himself.
