Whose Fridge Has Space for This 1,000-Pack of Beer?

999 bottles of beer on the wall, 999 bottles of beer ...

It looks like “99 Bottles of Beer” is going to need a rewrite and a Finnish translation …

After a rival brewery tossed some shade their way by rolling out a 100-pack of beer as an April Fools’ Day prank, Finland’s Nokian Panimo doubled down on that joke, then multiplied it by five.

To the delight of imbibera across the nation, Nokian created a supersized pack of its Keisari lager comprised of plastic-wrapped stacks of 12-by-18-can blocks, 1080 beers in all.

The massive 1,000-Päkki went on sale for around $2.343 (about two bucks a beer) at a number of K-Supermarkets across the country, including the chain’s Helsinki location, Italehti reported.

To encourage sales, supermarket employee Jouni Tuominen said there was room for haggling about the price and the store would consider bringing the bounty of beer to a buyer’s home.

At least that’s what we think. Admittedly, our Finnish is a bit ruosteinen. Maybe yours is better.
