The number of women who own spirits brands is small (Forbes estimated it was around 50 out of 1,000+ craft distilleries in the U.S. back in 2019) but certainly growing. Determining who those few dozen owners are, though, can be difficult when you’re sifting through hundreds of bottles at a store or online.
To that end, the booze delivery service Drizly put together a virtual shelf of women-owned liquor brands. Yes, getting these bottles may depend on where you live, but the platform suggests that over 89 percent of retailers on Drizly now carry a women-owned brand.
Below, a few standouts (and yes, this list is different from the one ReserveBar did last month, which highlighted both women- and BIPOC-owned spirits brands … definitely take a look at that one as well for additional choices, many of which you can find on Drizly). Options will depend on your delivery area; prices below reflect the cost of these bottles in New York.
