The Las Vegas Raiders are under investigation by the NFL after a team employee allegedly entered the club’s locker room without the credentials to do so after Monday Night Football last week, according to ESPN.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the NFL is only allowing 40 employees in each organization in the locker room, aside from players. The NFL thinks there is evidence a noncredentialed person entered the Raiders’ locker room on Monday night by eluding security checkpoints.

The investigation comes on the heels of the NFL fining the Raiders $250,000 and head coach Jon Gruden $100,000 for mask violations during the team’s win over the Saints on Monday night.

In all, the NFL fined coaches and teams $1.75 million following Week 2 for COVID-19 protocol-related violations. Gruden and the other coaches who were fined for not wearing masks have appealed to the NFL. The appeals will be heard this week, according to the NFL Network.

The veteran coach appeared to do a much better job of wearing his mask on Sunday during a sloppy loss to the Patriots in New England, though his facial covering was a bit funny looking.

The Raiders were able to convert just 3-of-9 third downs in the 36-20 loss.

“We fumbled the ball in the red zone. We missed a field goal that we should make. We can’t stop the run in the second half. There are some issues that add up to a loss,” Gruden said.
