Are you not entertained? Well, you soon may be again.

Gladiator, the tale of a Roman general who is enslaved then becomes a gladiator, ruled movie theaters 20 years ago, but now, director Ridley Scott has decided to finally get around to make a sequel.

The director is no stranger to sequels and in the last few years has directed Alien: Covenant and produced Blade Runner 2049. Though audiences did not receive either movie as well as the original, they weren’t failures either, writes Maxim. And Scott has plenty of reasons to bet on a Gladiator sequel.

Deadline writes that though Russel Crowe’s character, Maximus, met his end in the classic original film, Gladiator 2 will follow the story of Lucius, the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen). Maximus saved the boy and his mother while avenging his own family, and left a strong impression on the young Lucius, according to Deadline.

Since no release date has been set, take a look at the original trailer to get warmed up for the eventual sequel.
