Disgraced anchor Matt Lauer sold his Upper East Side apartment for over its $7.35 million asking price, reports Variety. Town & Country writes that Lauer bought the house in 2004 for about $5.882 million. The house was only on the market for about four months, and is approximately 3,500-square-feet. It has 11 rooms and a private elevator landing that opens into a foyer. The master suite itself had three and potentially four bedrooms and a total of 4.5 bathrooms.

Variety reports that the 12-story co-operative apartment house, located on  the corner of East 64th Street and Lexington Avenue, is infamously known as the former home of imprisoned Wall Street swindler Bernie Madoff.

Lauer, who was fired from his post at NBC News for allegations of sexual misconduct, was recently seen paddle boarding in Sag Harbor at a chairty event. His wife of 20 years, Annette Roque, filed for divorce after the allegations surfaced.
