A co-founder of the modeling agency MC2 has gone missing as investigators probed his connections to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. That would be one Jean-Luc Brunel. French authorities, who are conducting their own investigation into Epstein’s misdeeds and web of corruption, would like to speak to Brunel. Unfortunately, no one seems to be able to find him — even as the search continues in multiple countries.

The New York Post’s report on the search for Brunel traces some of the connections between Brunel and Epstein — including the fact that Epstein was an early investor in MC2 to the tune of $1,000,000. However, Brunel has been accused of far worse things than simply being in the orbit of a convicted sex offender. To wit, from the Post’s article:

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein’s longtime accusers, alleged in court papers that Brunel ‘farmed out’ modeling hopefuls to Epstein and that she was also forced to have sex with the model agency boss.

Brunel’s connections to Epstein — and accusations of wrongdoing on Brunel’s part — have been out in the open for a while now: Jezebel reported on them in 2010, as did The Guardian five years later. And 60 Minutes explored his misdeeds in 1988, according to this article in The Daily Beast

Will Brunel ever surface? It matters tremendously for those looking for answers in the Epstein case — and looking to see answers from Brunel himself about his own actions.
