The secondary watch market is hot, which means every time we look there seems to be a new place to shop for pre-owned pieces online. While we’re happy to give newcomers a shot, we also like to stick with our old standbys, namely Bob’s Watches. In an often snobbish culture, who can resist that unassuming name? Huckberry certainly couldn’t.
For Father’s Day, one of our favorite shops has partnered with the leader in pre-owned luxury watches to curate a selection of standout Rolex and Omega models. It’s a great excuse to get your pops a gift that he’ll never, ever stop talking about (“Oh, your son got you socks? Mine got me this Submariner …”). It’s also a great excuse to finally get yourself the watch of your dreams, whether you’re a father or not.
Funnily enough, one of the timepieces included is a Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller, a model that Bob’s Watches Founder and CEO Paul Altieri picked out as a favorite when we interviewed him back in 2017, citing the gradient dial and diving chops. If you’re looking for something that’ll make less of a dent in your bank account, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M GMT is similarly beefy at 43.5mm to the Rolex’s 44mm, and features extra functionality thanks to the central GMT hand.
Of the 10 watches chosen for this curation, four are already sold, including both the most and least expensive pieces. That leaves plenty of wiggle room for your budget, just don’t expect the other six to stick around too long.
