Many moons ago I bought a short-sleeve button-up from Best Made done up in something they called “Burma cloth.” It felt tough but lightweight, the kind of collared summer shirt that I could throw on over a tee just about any day, one that could withstand some dirt and sweat and look good doing it. I ended up wearing it so much that I bought two more.

What I’m trying to say is that you should definitely take advantage of all the menswear deals happening at the seasonal sale Best Made just opened, where discounts top the 50% off mark. They don’t have that exact shirt on sale, but they’ve got plenty of other layers that display the brand’s deft eye for design and fabric choice.

Here’s what we have our eye on: the olive green Garden Shacket, which is done up in a garment-dyed canvas and features some Napolean-style pockets, at 13% off; the indigo-dyed Chore Jacket, which is made from a workwear staple called Wabash, at 50% off; and the Herringbone Chore Coat, which is a classic that’s 50% off in no less than four colors. Now that is another layer I could see myself buying multiple times.

But that’s just the outerwear. If you’re looking for some new hardwearing pants, classic tees or caps with Best Made’s red “X” logo, those are all on sale too.
