There are DIY (blueprints and trailer, $6,884) and semi-DIY (blueprints, trailer and completed home shell, $19,884) options available, or you can get a fully outfitted Roving that’ll be move-in ready in eight weeks for $49,884.
The locked-and-loaded edition comes care of 84 Lumber and features an Energy Star refrigerator, stainless steel sink, electric stovetop, built-in kitchen table, composting toilet, energy-saving LED lighting, cork floors and a lofted bedroom with enough space for a full-size bed. With low-E aluminum clad windows and insulated wall framing, the energy-efficient Roving is built to withstand the elements and impress your neighbors.
The Tiny Living branch of 84 Lumber plans to roll out three larger models — the Shonsie, Evergreen and Degsy — in the coming months, but all will measure smaller than 200 square feet.
