Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of it. Today: a WI-FI-connected slow cooker, Master & Dynamics newest wireless headphones and the long-awaited ALD x Woolrich collaboration.

Aimé Leon Dore

Aimé Leon Dore x Woolrich

The fourth collaboration between modern hype machine Aimé Leon Dore and historic outdoor outfitter Woolrich has not let us down — except, of course, for the fact that the best pieces are flying off the shelves as expected. Our favorite picks skew towards outerwear, from the orange camo Expedition Parka to the Shell Jacket to the Waxed Topcoat, but the Cablelink Sheep Sweater is also a cozy triumph. If you miss out here, the recent Todd Snyder x L.L.Bean collab should satiate similar sartorial desires.

Adidas

Adidas FWD-02 SPORT True Wireless In-Ear Headphones

Adidas isn’t just messing around in lightweight tech, they’re producing fitness-wearable gold. Example numero uno: the new in-ear FWD-02 headphones. These true wireless joints are set to sell out almost immediately, and it’s easy to see why. Sweat-proof and with a slew of performance-driven features (including “awareness mode,” which boosts crystal-clear clarity while letting ambient noise in, we can only hope to get a pair once they are available later this year. (Currently on pre-order.)

TRAX

Kid Trax 12V Ride-On Ford Bronco

This pint-sized electric ride-on Ford Bronco is about to be the hottest Christmas gift of 2021. Are you one of the lucky ones who already has a new Bronco parked in your driveway? Then get this one so your kid can match (the top and doors are removable, just like the real thing). On the other hand, if you’re one of the unlucky ones who is going to be waiting a long time to get that new Bronco in your driveway, then at least your kid can get one.

Seiko

Seiko Prospex U.S. Special Edition Diver Watches

Brrr! Feel that? That’s 200 meters under the sea, baby. Thankfully, Seiko has whipped up an icy little unit to handle the depth and the cold of even the most treacherous waters, or maybe just your next vacation. Enter the Special Edition Prospex Ice Diver Watch. Crafted with intrepid adventurers in mind, the stainless-steel watch has an ultra-hard coating, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a power reserve of 70 hours. A U.S. exclusive straight from Japan, the Seiko Prospex Special Edition Diver Watches are available in early November: you can sign up below for a launch ping.

Dickies

Dickies x Franky Villani Signature Collection

Dickies has gone beyond the unofficial co-sign by pretty much every skater ever and hopped on the collaboration train with absolute freak-on-a-board Franky Villani, and it feels oh, oh-so right. The multi-piece capsule features instant skate classics like corduroy double-knees, a “sicko” version of the iconic Eisenhower Jacket, and some very clean all-black overalls. Will InsideHook personnel actually be shredding and wiping out in Dickies x Franky Villani? No, that would require a skateboard. But we’ll still be rocking it to the office.

RTIC

RTIC Ultra-Light Cooler

The RTIC Ultra-Light Cooler has become something of an outdoor icon in recent years thanks to its durability, insulation and a price tag that’s easier on your wallet than the competition. But this week, the 52-quart brute receives two new paint jobs that add a little more style to your setup. Choose between the all-new Patriot (left) or Trailblazer (right) colorways for tailgates, barbecues and camping trips, or peruse the three traditional colors that look good all season long.

Pro-Ject Audio Systems

Pro-Ject Audio Systems “Beatles” The Singles Turntable

A sound system that looks as good as it sounds? Now that’s a head-turn(table)er. Paying due homage to the greatest band of all time, The Singles Turntable takes is visage from original Beatles singles sleeves. Listen to Paul, John, George, and the other one in style.

Bird of Courage

Bird of Courage Turkey Whiskey

From Tamworth, the New Hampshire distillery that brought you a venison (and a beaver sac) whiskey, comes this seasonally appropriate, limited-edition, roasted turkey-flavored whiskey. It’s essentially a barrel of 5-year-old Bottled in Bond bourbon steeped with “mostly” historically accurate ingredients from a New England Thanksgiving dinner. And actually, the locally sourced flint corn, chestnuts, apples, cranberries, squash, parsley and sage will probably work just fine here (and hey, turkey is kinda flavorless).  More of our best new whiskeys of November here.

Montblanc

Montblanc Great Characters Enzo Ferrari Edition

Montblanc returns to their iconic Great Characters series with a collection inspired by Enzo Ferrari, complete with handsome “Rosso 70 Anni”-inspired color and loads of class. The capsule features various homages to Ferrari and his company, with engravings and nods adorning the beautiful writing utensils. Each is a work of art, almost like, we might suggest, a finely-tuned automobile.

Filson

Filson x Ten Thousand Performance Collection

Filson is no stranger to collaborations, but the latest finds the outfitter in somewhat uncharted territory: the gym. Although, if you know anything about activewear brand Ten Thousand, the partnership makes complete sense; they’ve tested and designed their gear with help from people whose needs go above and beyond the normal weight-room routine, including members of the U.S. Special Ops. For the collection, three Ten Thousand pieces (a shirt, shorts and socks) have been done up in Filson’s signature Marsh Olive colorway. Available at Filson and Ten Thousand.

Instant Pot

Instant Pot 6Qt Pro Plus with WiFi

Speaking of smart kitchen devices … does your Instant Pot really need wifi? It does if you want to remotely monitor your cooking and/or access hundreds of recipes for your versatile pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté pan, etc.

Master & Dynamic

Master & Dynamic MG20

The makers of some of the best-looking and sounding headphones we use just got into the gaming business with this luxury headset. Crafted from magnesium, lambskin leather and Alcantara (a durable, suede-like microfiber), the MG20 features a detachable boom microphone with an additional onboard mic array, along with 50mm Beryllium drivers and 7.1 Surround Sound. It might be the most immersive gaming headset ever, which is great when a 12-year old is telling you how much you suck at Destiny 2 (not, that, uh, we know from experience). Available starting Nov. 16.

Guinness

The Official Guinness Cookbook

Of course you can cook with Ireland’s most famous export — you just didn’t know you can cook more than stew. How about braised short ribs, chocolate potato cake or soda bread? The 60+ recipes here also feature recipes from more than just the classic Guinness Draught, including dishes with the brewery’s Extra Stout, Baltimore Blonde and more.

The Tie Bar

The Tie Bar Wool Miracle Houndstooth Plaid Grey Jacket

The Tie Bar has long been an InsideHook favorite for their ability to produce menswear staples that are shockingly inexpensive but never feel cheap — an excellent cost-to-quality ratio, if you will. Their latest offering is the “Wool Miracle” jacket, a smartly tailored number crafted from premium wool in four handsome colorways and retailing for just under two hundred bucks. As far as a daily driver that you needn’t be precious about goes, this one’s a no-brainer.

June

June 12-in-1 Smart Oven

Launched a few years back, June keeps updating their 12-in-1 countertop device to allow for more interesting and diverse cooking options. We’ll have a full review of their most recent unit soon, but do know that this convection oven / grill / air fryer / toaster (and eight more) uses sensors and AI to make sure your food never gets overcooked. So far, it’s been working great.

Huckberry

Huckberry x Eddie Bauer

Huckberry and Eddie Bauer … why didn’t we think of it sooner? After all, the collaboration between the two just makes sense: both embrace craftsmanship and heritage, and both have a rather outdoorsy disposition. The two giants have come together to release a quilted Skyliner Jacket in typical premium outdoor-ready apparel fashion, and we’ll be the first to sing its very puffy praises. The style is currently sold out, but keep those eyes peeled for a restock.

Levi’s

Levi’s x Girls Don’t Cry

Tokyo-native VERDY and Levi’s have come together for a Girls Don’t Cry capsule, and man, is it red great. The denim dealers are no stranger to collaborations, but this one is especially cool — the unisex, straight-fitting, and majority red capsule, while small, features styles that are all to die for, like the corduroy overalls seen above. Just don’t cry over them, since they’re sold out.
