Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: a very seasonal whiskey, DIY Reebok Club Cs and a dope collection to benefit the United States Postal Service.

Southern Tier Distillery Co.

Southern Tier Pumking Whiskey

A creative NY brewery brings their flavor wizardry to whiskey. Is that a good thing? Hey, it’s fall and we will unironically embrace any hooch that features “rich aromas of pie spice, buttery cream, and pie crust” … plus, we will totally drink a Pumtini or Pumking Cream Shooter, awful name aside.

Rhone

Rhone Commuter Blazer

For when you finally do go back to work, this is an ideal two-button business casual layer for unpredictable weather. The fabric here repels water and stains, and there are plenty of pockets for your devices (and masks).

Besito

Besito Minis

While certainly not at the top of the COVID bummer list by any stretch of the imagination, the death of “puff, puff, pass” is a lamentable development nonetheless. Enter California cannabis concern Besito (that’s Spanish for “little kiss” for anyone wondering) and their tins of 10 hand-rolled mini joints, each clocking in at just .35g and perfect for personal consumption. Everybody puffs, nobody passes, and we all get through a trying time a little easier. Recommended pairing: individual sleeves of Oreos.

Ruark Audio

Ruark Audio R3 Compact Music System

Do you still listen to CDs? A few of us do, and there may be no better way to do so than on this compact home audio system, which also handles internet radio and wifi/Bluetooth streaming (you know, 21st century stuff) in perhaps the most dapper way possible.

Timex

Q Timex Hodinkee Limited Edition Watch

We’ve extolled the virtues of the Q Timex, a revived quartz watch from the late ‘70s, many times over. Now, the horological elite at Hodinkee are doing the same by offering up their own take on the model which features a white dial, moves the water-resistance rating from the caseback to the face, and deletes the day-date display. Hodinkee readers must have fallen in love with the limited-edition redesign too, as it’s currently sold out. But you can join a waitlist for a potential restock, which has been known to happen.

Taft

Taft Preston Eden Longwing Brogue

After so many months spent around the house in various states of what we’ll refer to as “comfort attire,” it’s nice to think of a time at some point in the future when we can all, you know, dress up again. When we can once again throw on something truly snazzy and swing for the sartorial fences — and damned if these brogues from Taft don’t fit that bill to a T, with full-grain Italian calfskin burnished to a warm shine and offset by floral fabric that’s sure to cause more than a few double takes.

Huckberry

Flint and Tinder 365 Corduroy Pants

If you’ve been holding out for the perfect pair of corduroy pants to come along, look no further than Flint and Tinder’s 365 Corduroy Pants, now available Huckberry. The brand kept the same silhouette of their best-selling 365 Pant, rendering it in corduroy to make it more seasonally appropriate, while still retaining the same stretch and comfort of the 365 chinos. Depending on your desired fit, you can opt for the cords in either Slim or Straight, both available in neutral fall shades of tan, moss green, navy and charcoal. Consider them the corduroy pants to end all corduroy pants.

Outerknown

Outerknown Arcana Sherpa Jacket

The world of menswear certainly doesn’t want for fleece jackets this time of year, but a couple key details set this new number from Outerknown apart in our book. Chief among them is the rounded collar, a criminally underutilized shape in the world of jackets that looks particularly cool when worn up against the wind. The large front patch pockets are also a stylish alternative to what you’d see on your typical fleece, and perfect for jamming in hat/gloves/etc with ease when you come in out of the cold. And finally there’s the fleece itself, high-pile to the point of eliciting a “well don’t you look cozy” from your friends and neighbors but lightweight enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re lugging around a bearskin rug on your back.

Fred Segal

Fred Segal x USPS

Known for its cutting-edge designs, California-based brand Fred Segal has teamed up with the United States Postal Service for an officially licensed line of postal apparel. The limited-time collection includes long and short sleeve tees, an iconic crop top and a dope sweatshirt we need ASAP, featuring vintage USPS logos and designs. But the best part is every purchase directly supports the USPS, so if you’re up to your ass in stamps and are looking for another way to support the postal service, you can do so in style.

Entireworld

Entireworld Dogwalker

If you still find yourself in search of the perfect fall jacket, look no further than Entireworld’s Dogwalker. Similar in silhouette to a barn jacket, the Dogwalker is made from two layers of organic cotton that’s light but still warm, so you can wear it all through fall and even into the beginning of winter, depending on your layering practices. Even better: the coat’s reversible, meaning you’re technically getting not one but two coats.

Size

Reebok Club C ‘Self Dye’

If you’re still trying to quell your boredom during the pandemic, consider the tie-dye trend with these DIY Reeboks. Collaborating with dye brand Rit, Reebok reworked their classic Club C model, trading in the usual leather for materials that can now be dyed. Customize the shoes to your liking, and when people stop to ask you where you got them, you can get the satisfaction of saying you made them yourself. The set also comes with a dyeable tote bag.

Swatch

Swatch Bioreloaded

According to Swatch, this marks the first time a watchmaker has replaced all conventional materials with bio-sourced materials (extracted from the seeds of the castor plant). Even the packaging is biodegradable. Also, quite eye-poppin’ for just $70-$80.

Timberland

Timberland Euro Hiker Leather and Fabric Mid Boots

We’re in prime leaf-peeping season, and thus a pair of good solid hiking boots for walking in the woods are very much the order of the day. The folks at Timberland have been at it since 1952, which apparently is long enough to know not only how to build a pair that can withstand the elements (see: beefy leather construction, rust-proof hardware, steel shank for arch support), but also one in eye-catching colorway that also looks right at home on a city street.

Naadam

Nadaam Recycled

A new line of comfort wares all made from a recycled cashmere blend. Breathable and lightweight but still warm, these hoodies, joggers and sweaters are ideal fall layers.

Uniqlo

Uniqlo x JW Anderson Double-Faced Duffle Coat

It’s that time of year again: the new JW Anderson line with Uniqlo is here. Did we expect this collaboration to last for years? No. Does it continue to be surprisingly fruitful, with pieces worth picking up even if you’ve never stepped foot in a Uniqlo store? Most certainly. Our favorite this time is this exquisitely detailed duffle coat. Just look at that lining.

IKEA

Ben Gorham x IKEA “OSYNLIG” Collection

Byredo is continuously touted as one of the best candle brands, but, as with most insanely good smelling things, they’re super expensive. Now those of us who have yearned for a Byredo candle can bring home our own for as little as $5 thanks to the brand’s collaboration with IKEA. The collection, named “OYSLING” which means “invisible” in Swedish, will feature 13 candles ranging from floral, woody and fresh scents, all developed by Byredo founder Ben Gorham. Available for purchase on November 1, the candles were created with the idea of further reinforcing the sense of comfort and security home provides.

Huckberry

Ben Harper x Huckberry

In a new collaboration with Huckberry, Grammy Award winner and Big Hat Guy Ben Harper reached his final form: getting his own wide brim worthy of his name, worthy of heirloom status and worthy of a place on your noggin. But even if you don’t feel ready for your debut as a Big Hat Guy, the collection also includes a corduroy version of our perennial favorite Flint and Tinder trucker jacket, a layer that instantly notched a place on the best fall jackets of 2020.
