Ulrike Lemmin-Woolfrey

Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Ulrike is a serial expat who has lived and worked in the UK, Qatar, Oman, the UAE, Australia and France — in some of the countries even more than once. Somewhat restless by nature, when she is not packing up the house for an international move, she is likely to be found at an airport, heading to a country waiting to be explored. Forever looking out for art and architecture, she has been known to travel to Azerbaijan just to see one building and collects weird and wonderful international Christmas decorations as she goes.

A freelance travel and lifestyle writer, Ulrike has written for international publications such as BBC Travel, TIME, Travel + Leisure, Nat Geo, Lonely Planet, The Independent, Conde Nast Traveler, as well as Conde Nast Traveller, The Guardian, Fodor’s and many more. While in Australia, Ulrike wrote one expat guide to moving to Australia, and two travel guides on Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, all in print with Moon Travel books.
