Easy Rider. The Wild One. The Motorcycle Diaries.

Even if you don’t ride, the motorcycle means romance. Freedom. Get the hell outta Dodge-ish-ness.

Giving you all that: Jupiter’s Motorcycles, launching New York’s first ever “Motoshare” program (and also offering private lessons for novice riders).

For blokes already licensed, Jupiter’s Motoshare is basically Zipcar for two wheels. They’ve got four locations around the city where you can reserve and pick up a bike 24/7 via smartphone without the hassle of, you know, actually buying and maintaining a motorcycle.

On offer: Triumph Bonnevilles, Ducati Monsters and Moto Guzzis, as well as a host of BMWs and Hondas.

For novices, Jupiter’s got MotoStarter: hourly coaching sessions on smaller bikes with experienced riders, working you up to full access to the entire fleet.

And Jupiter’s road-tested team is also on-hand to make recommendations on all necessary gear, from helmets to leathers.

Time to hit the open road.
