This Place Is Like Your Own Private Dead Sea

Visit Pause Float Studio. Your body and mind will thank you.

When it comes to relaxation, you’ve got options.

Naps. Meditation. A long, warm bath.

Or Pause Float Studio, which combines all the above in a private pod filled with 10 inches of body-temp water and 1,000 pounds of epsom salt.

Sounds like something out of an L.A.-based satire. But it’s real, it’s spectacular, and we can’t wait to go back.

First, you’ll enter one of their four private rooms, each adorned with spa-quality showers, premium bath products and fluffy towels. Take off all of your clothes, rinse off and get in the pod. Once you close the lid, you can dim or turn off the lights. There’s relaxing music or guided meditations, but we went silent because studies show that nourishes your brain.

As you float, your body will uncoil into a state of perfect relaxation. Your spine straightens, joints pop back into place and tendons that may be sore from working out start to heal themselves. This is all medically proven, and besides only taking an hour of your time, it requires absolutely no effort.

Odds are we’ll see you there.
