If you’ve got a spare $7.5 million lying around and happen to be in the market for a new home in Seattle, the house where Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love lived in 1994 could be yours.
The 117-year-old, 8,212-square-foot home boasts four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and a wine cellar. Love and Cobain bought the property for $1.485 million in January of 1994 and lived there until his death on April 5 of that year. Cobain died by suicide in a greenhouse on the property that Love later had demolished.
Love sold the home to a trust for $2.895 million in 1997. According to the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, the current owners purchased the property in 2000 and renovated recently, which “brought the house closer to its original form and detailing.”
A listing for the house by real estate agency Ewing & Clark describes it as “a perfectly maintained home of extraordinary presence situated upon a beautiful, park-like lot in the heart of Denny Blaine.
