Grace Jidoun

Grace Jidoun is a freelance journalist who has been writing about food, culture, and travel for more than fifteen years. Born in San Francisco and raised in Los Angeles, she enjoys keeping up to date on all things happening in her two favorite cities. After a stint in New York City as a reporter for Money and Vanity Fair, she moved back to her hometown of L.A. and joined the team at Bon Appétit Magazine as the Research Editor for five years, where she once was sent on assignment to the Scottish Highlands to investigate whiskey-making and castles. As a freelance writer and editor, her work has appeared in Glamour, Epicurious, Clean Plates, Smart Mouth, and Insider. She was a founding writer at Blackboard Eats and ate her way through the City of Angels, interviewing countless chefs and reviewing restaurants. She also edited the Los Angeles Zagat Guide for seven years and wrote and edited city guides for the Los Angeles Tourism Bureau. Recently, she took on the role of Research Coordinator of “50 Years of Ms.,” an award-winning anthology celebrating the authors and poets of Ms. Magazine, published by Knopf in 2023. In addition, she now covers entertainment news as a features writer for NBC Insider, SYFY Wire, USA Insider, and Bravo, and has ventured into true crime reporting at Oxygen News and Atlanta Black Star. In her spare time, you can catch Grace catching up on episodes of Chucky (yes, the killer doll) and Resident Alien, planning her next big hike, or testing out recipes on friends.
