The streak took place at a team shootaround in Chicago on Saturday ahead of the team’s game against Bulls last night, which the Warriors won 129-128 compliments of a last-second three from Damion Lee. It’s the longest such streak of Curry’s career, breaking his previous record of 77, according to the Mercury News.
Head coach Steve Kerr called the feat “insane,” while teammate Draymond Green had a more reserved response: “As great as that is, I can’t sit here and act like, ‘Oh, I’m surprised.’ It’s just not really surprising to me. It’s such an incredible thing, but I’m sorry, Steph, it doesn’t really get me up out of my seat that he hit 105 in a row.”
If you’re wondering where Curry’s streak ranks in the pantheon of legendary shootarounds by any player, Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker claimed that he made 128 straight in December 2019, though video evidence only captured a streak of 45.
