If your breakfast routine looks something like this: bagel in the secondhand toaster, orange juice out of a carton and coffee from a plastic K-Cup — then take a lesson from the Italians.
Namely, just because you woke up looking like hell doesn’t mean your appliances have to follow suit.
Enter your new toaster, juicer, coffee maker, kettle, mixer and blender, courtesy of appliance manufacturer Smeg and luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. After last year’s hand-painted refrigerator collaboration, they’re back to round out the whole kitchen.
The products once again feature a Sicilian aesthetic, including depictions of the Trinacria symbol and Mount Etna, and vibrant complementary colors that’ll go well with a double espresso.
Titled “Sicily Is My Love,” the collection debuted at the annual Milan design show Salone del Mobile, which runs April 4-9th.
We’ll have to wait and see how much these’ll set you back, but for comparison, the 100 limited-edition Fab28 refrigerators came out to $33,493.50 each. Oh, and if you’re kicking yourself for missing out on those — you can actually still pick one up.
