Time 2017 Person of the Year Goes to ‘The Silence Breakers’

It recognizes the people who spoke up about sexual harassment and misconduct.

Time has named its 2017 Person of the Year, “The Silence Breakers,” and in fact, its people: the people who spoke about about sexual assault, harassment, and rape and started a movement that spread worldwide. The movement has no formal name (though #MeToo is part of it), but has given people everywhere a voice.
