With 141.5 million followers and counting on Instagram — and counting — Selena Gomez has the most followers of anyone on the app. Which means that any endorsement from the actress and singer means company’s make big money. Gomez’s relationship with Puma is no different.

Puma, which has 8.2 million followers, has successfully leveraged Gomez’s social media clout in order to create a greater impact than it ever could on its own, reports Maxim. Gomez’s Instagram posts have three times more engagements.

“In dollars, that means some of Selena’s posts equated to nearly $3.5 million in Media Impact Value per post, whereas Puma’s best-performing one only reached $195K,” said Alison Bringé, chief marketing officer of Footwear News, according to Page Six.

Puma has been around for a long time, but has to battle with Nike, Adidas and Under Armour for the spotlight. But it looks like their deal with Gomez might change all that.
