Online users erupted in speculation at what First Lady's gesture meant.

First Lady Melania Trump rebuffed the president’s gesture to hold her hand on Monday as the couple arrived at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv, Israel, HuffPost is reporting.

And the awkward exchange was caught on camera.

Next to the couple, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu held hands with his wife, Sara.

Video of the incident quickly went viral online, with social media users speculating about what the moment actually meant.
