Russian pilot Sergey Ananov had nearly completed a record-breaking flight around the world when he crashed in the Arctic Circle. He had no locator beacon, no phone, and barely any water. Surrounded by polar bears, Ananov was at the mercy of whatever nature had to offer—with little chance of survival.
