Hong Kong Auction Includes Rare Works by Banksy, Hergé

By Will Levith

For the second year in a row, Paris-based auction house Artcurial is staging an auction that brings comic strip art, panel art, and street art together in one sale.

Taking place in Hong Kong at the Liang Yi Museum on Oct. 3, the auction, entitled “From Paris to Hong Kong,” will feature rare works by Hergé, the Belgian cartoonist behind The Adventures of Tintin (which was turned into a movie by Steven Spielberg in 2011); and hot street artists, such as Shepard Fairey, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Banksy.
