As The Perfect Storm established and shows like Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers have made clear, we really enjoy watching others negotiate extreme conditions from the comfort of our living rooms.

If you aren’t convinced, try watching a video that the Danish Air Force just shared on Facebook without tensing up. (Don’t worry: happy ending.)

An ideal example of tension and release, the brief clip was filmed off the Faroe Islands between Norway and Iceland during a test of a MH-60 Seahawk naval chopper. While the language barrier makes it hard to tell exactly what the pilots are feeling, the footage makes the dangerous nature of landing on a tiny helipad being hit by fantastically large waves plain to see.

Great way to impress a lighthouse keeper’s daughter.
