Adrian Spinelli

Adrian Spinelli is a San Francisco-based freelance arts & culture writer born in São Paulo, Brazil. He typically covers music, food, drinks, travel, sports, festivals and the subcultures in between them all. He was an Executive Editor for Genius in New York, before moving back to the Bay Area where he was both a hip-hop, and sandwich columnist for SF Weekly, a beer columnist for Eater SF and the weekly new music columnist in the Sunday San Francisco Chronicle. He’s held staff positions in the past at Uproxx and Paste, where he specialized in covering emerging artists. He likes to spend his time travelling the world with his wife, traversing San Francisco’s parks with his dog, biking the city’s streets (hills be damned!) playing team sports and discovering the city’s endless trove of bars, restaurants and music venues. Obsessed with underground culture, catch him on Instagram and Twitter @agspinelli, touting the world of concerts, whiskey, BBQ, bars and basketball.
