Your next Uber ride could be underwater.

In a just-announced promotion with Queensland, Australia, Uber will allow some local residents and a few lucky contest winners to experience a personal submarine ride share around the Great Barrier Reef.

Dubbed “scUber,” the three-person Stingray sub can be directly requested by residents and Uber riders of select Queensland cities if they pick Great Barrier Reef as a destination in the ride share app; however, that ride costs $3000 and only 20 sub trips are available, though that surge pricing does include car and helicopter transportation to the sub’s launch point.

Based outside of Australia? You can enter a competition here to win round-trip airfare and a free sub ride; entries are due June 1st and you’ll need to explain why you deserve an underwater journey in 25 words or less.

It’s certainly worth the effort: The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest living organism, a World Heritage Area and the world’s first reef ecosystem to be recognized by UNESCO; it’s also one of the best places in the world to experience marine life.

scUber rides from now through June 18th. Uber will donate $100,000 to the Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef in support of conservation programs; also, the sub will be collecting data to support reef research and monitoring during each trip.
