If you didn’t already buy that luxury train RealClearLife mentioned back in June, now’s your chance to make up for it. Irish hotel and travel company Belmond has just launched Ireland’s first-ever luxury railroad, the Grand Hibernian (the firm also owns the Eastern and Oriental Express and Venice Simplon-Orient-Express).

Seating up to 40 guests in private ensuite cabins, the Grand Hibernian accommodates for a series of spectacular journeys: the two-night “Realm of Giants,” which takes you to Belfast and includes a tour of the Old Bushmills Distillery (among other excursions); the four-night “Legends and Loughs,” which travels to Cork, Blarney Castle, the Lakes of Killarney, Connemara National Park, and Galway; and the six-night grand tour, which combines the first two trips. The train departs from Dublin and traverses both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The train can be rented out for private parties or business meetings, and includes its own gourmet dining car, with local flavors; an Observation Car, where you can get a complete lay of the land whizzing by; and of course, a generous selection of beer, wine, and “whiskey”—with or without the “e.”

Take a visual tour of the train’s exterior below. To book the Grand Hibernian experience, click here. Watch a teaser video on the new train service at the bottom.
