Despite “wincing” at the late-night comedian’s Tuesday night monologue, CBS This Morning co-anchor Gayle King sat down with Stephen Colbert on his Late Show to discuss the firing of her colleague, esteemed journalist Charlie Rose.

“Stephen, I came this close to canceling,” King admitted. As Oprah Magazine’s editor-at-large, King was booked weeks before to discuss Oprah’s Favorite Things for the holiday season.
