Less than a week after 15 female former employees leveled sexual harassment allegations at members of the team’s front office, Washington’s NFL franchise has placed a woman in a position of power within the organization.
Julie Donaldson, an anchor, host and reporter for NBC Sports Washington, has been hired to lead the Washington football team’s radio broadcast crew as both an on-air personality and in an executive role as the club’s new senior vice president of media.
Donaldson’s role will be similar to the one that was held by departed radio host Larry Michael, who was one of the men accused of sexual harassment last week.

The first woman to be a regular member of an NFL team’s radio broadcast booth, Donaldson is the team’s highest-ranking female executive, and her first task will be to hire a play-by-play announcer to replace Michael.
